ClearScore 10th anniversary event

SHIFT 2025: the next decade of growth for the leading global financial marketplace

In July, we marked ClearScore’s 10th anniversary with our biggest partner event to date: SHIFT 2025.

Held at The Londoner in London, the event brought together over 500 guests from across financial services, technology, policy and banking. Throughout the day, we heard from global thought leaders, ClearScore’s leadership team and our partners as we looked ahead to the next decade of financial wellbeing.

The morning opened with insights from Martin Wolf, Chief Economics Commentator at the Financial Times, and an exclusive interview with Lord David Cameron, who reflected on leadership, global challenges and the future of responsible finance. In the afternoon, Emily Maitlis and Elizabeth Day explored trust, brand responsibility and user behaviour in the digital age.

Above all, SHIFT was an opportunity to share what is next for the wider ClearScore Group.

ClearScore: Built for Scale, Ready for What’s Next

ClearScore is now the number one credit marketplace in the UK, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Since launching in 2015, we have grown from a UK-based startup to a global business that:

  • Close to 25 million users across five countries

  • Powers over 1.5 million product sales of credit cards, unsecured personal loans and car finance, with strong growth in current accounts and savings

  • Works with more than 200 financial partners

  • Maintains 99.99% uptime across its modular platform

  • Delivers more than 4,000 production releases every month through Server-driven UI (SDUI)

This growth has been possible through our focus on building a world-class platform that delivers better outcomes at scale and best-in-class user engagement.

ClearScore Everywhere

We launched ClearScore Everywhere, our embedded finance solution that enables partners to integrate our marketplace into their digital experiences. This includes online retailers, white-label environments, post-application journeys and declined-user referrals.

ClearScore Everywhere is already live with brands such as Asda , Co-op , Admiral Group Plc and Vanquis, helping users access tailored credit offers at the point of need.

For partners, it offers new ways to drive value and better serve customers at critical moments.

Open Banking in Action

Open Banking is no longer just a regulatory shift. It is now embedded in how we serve users and deliver value to both sides of our marketplace.

At SHIFT 2025, we shared the following updates:

  • 2.6 million users have connected their accounts via Open Banking

  • 16 percent of all lending on our platform is powered by Open Banking data

This approach supports faster decision-making, more inclusive products and fairer results for users. It also drives better performance for our partners.

Supporting the Underserved

We also explored how our technology is improving access for underserved groups. These users may not have a traditional credit history but do have the intent and capacity to repay.

ClearScore is helping to reach them through:

  • Clearer, our debt consolidation product, which enables direct repayments to lenders

  • Credit Scanner, which notifies users when they become eligible for credit

  • New partnerships with NewDay, Monzo Bank and Capital One to develop inclusive, Open Banking-powered offers

We are committed to making access to credit more responsible and more inclusive.

Built on Technology That Moves Fast

Our CTO, Klaus Thorup, gave a live demo of our Server-Driven User Interface (SDUI), which allows ClearScore to update and personalise its app in real time without the need for app releases.

Combined with our modular architecture and a stack powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), Kafka, Databricks and Confluent, we are able to deliver stability, scale and flexibility in equal measure. With 99.99 percent uptime and thousands of live deployments every month, we are now operating at a pace few can match in financial services.

Introducing CAIsey

We also previewed Caisey, our new AI assistant, which will help users make better borrowing decisions through intelligent summaries, product comparisons and credit coaching.

Caisey will be a key feature in our upcoming app release, CS25, which brings together ClearScore’s insights, product discovery tools, affordability models and financial education in one seamless user experience.

Looking Ahead

SHIFT 2025 was a milestone for ClearScore. It marked ten years of progress and outlined our vision for the decade to come.

We will continue to scale responsibly, build technology that enables better decisions, and help users feel more confident about their finances.

Thank you to all of our partners, users and teams who continue to drive ClearScore forward.
